There are no heros or heroines in this story. There are the MC, FMC and the Side Couple(s). You gotta to think of slice of life romances in those terms to properly understand them. Those "slut heroines" might actualy be broken or they might be shitty human beings. I don't know what romance manga you have read but I know that in some manga I have read the broken FMCs could have and have been mistaken for "slut heroines."

Lmao, what the hell is this. Real people have relationships, so dating someone who's had previous romantic partners is both common and normal.

Hell, the vast majority of "first loves" don't last. I think its wonderful to have protagonists who are actual people with actual personalities instead of being some platonic ideal.

Also, calling women sluts is just a massive red flag, regardless of their lifestyle.

You might also have missed the real point of the story here, though: after having been saved by the ML, this FL has been trying as hard as she can in her clumsy and ignorant way to get him to let her save him in return. Not just fall for him, but break him out of the prison of suicidal selflessness and learned helplessness he's locked himself into after thinking he'd failed that little girl and then got dragged around like a vagabond for the next decade. It's killing her to watch him live as a human sacrifice.
