Saegusa is making clearer moves on Ichijo but it's a long way to go.
I don't want to see another love triangle... It would be more interesting to see:

1. Yu becoming a wingwoman for Ichijo and/or love interest for Yamamoto
2. Yu befriending Ichijo to get his help in making Saegusa rejoin the idol industry or even the music industry
3. Something tragic?

For this to be chapter 2, the Manga kinda started it's story in a strange spot. Nothing has been explained or particularly moved forward. It feels like this has been the status quo for a long time... and we moved toward more of the status quo even after the kinda sudden randomness of the events of this chapter. Like there both wasn't really any progress made nor does it feel like the rom com just started. It feels like I just hopped into chapter 7 of an ongoing 4-koma.

Also for God's sake just say the line in the last panel to her presence. Also for that matter is she shy or not because... I don't know it feels a little off that she can't ask him for his line but is fine clearly buying a gift just for him in front of crowds and meeting/talking to him (who according to the story she hasn't talked him out of disguise like ever and couldn't even after sitting next to him in class) in the concert and directing a song to him which she said she wanted him to listen to prior to getting up on the stage. Even her whole disguise thing in the store when he's working, she doesn't really try to keep it hidden from him and probably knows he knows it's her... like I can get teenagers being shy but it doesn't feel like the author has settled on her personality much at all. And realistically I do feel like the former lead idol of a band should have a bit more confidence even with her crush.

This is directly after the first chapter yet I feel like I missed a bunch of things.

All the background with the idols themselves I don't care about (like why they all know each other or why the FL quit), but it does irk me how down bad for this plain and dense af MC the FL lead is shown with seemingly no reason but while readers learn more and more just how popular and talented she is. Like at first she was just the popular girl in school with a neat backstory. Then we see that backstory and learn she's still like one of the most popular idols inuniverse and so popular her merch is following the opposite of the normal trend and becoming more valuable without her doing anything. Yet the MC only feels more plain and dense.
