I'm still amused at how Dorel is overjoyed of his 'victory' meanwhile Clevatesse is just using him to further hide himself.

Though since he's now the sword, I guess the fight will boils down to Alicia and the princess teaming up.
Alicia beat him in sword skill (get her revenge) then princess crush the sword (coup de grace)

Although Clevatess himself might be making a blunder which is interesting. He said "Dorel is just a smallfry" because he's convinced that only another King could possibly be behind it and be any sort of threat. Perhaps that's even true, but it could also be that humanity has in fact advanced. That itself was what set him off on this, that growth making him start to think they might be an actual threat long term, but his arrogance and nature is strong enough that it's not something he keeps consistently thinking of even when he encounters people doing things he doesn't expect.

So we'll see what happens. And I suppose to some extent Dorel was in fact "successful", even if partly through a path he didn't expect right? Because the end result was at least a temporary state of Clevatess being "sealed" so to speak, even if he can use his power he thinks he can't (due to another King behind the scenes) and from Dorel's POV that's actually basically the same short term result. I mean, yeah long term he may want all the king's dealt with, but avoiding the immediate defeat of his army and securing the resources he's after (vs Clevatess annihilating them all right then and there) is a tactical win.

Yes, though occurs to me him being the sword might stop that super water skill used against the insects. Unlike any normal living thing he wouldn't be mostly water. So it really will come down to more of a straight fight. Guess we'll see how well that princess can actually battle.

HAHAHAHA... Clevatess hustled Dorel, the guy sacrificed his body and only got Clevatess's shadow, and that was only because he wanted to take advantage of the guy thinking he defeated him.

But as much as I find fun seeing Dorel wasting his body... this does not change much of the situation, Clevatess now has a bigger picture to consider.

In a way, this was kinda already happening, I forgot which, but another King was already being pretty hostile to humans after they started taking beasts from her forest, I don't think she is the one that is behind Dorel, as Dorel seems to be the cause of her hostility against the locals in her area, but with this newfound info of a possible King being Dorel's patron or puppeteer... things are about to get even more complex.

Now... funny enough Luna's mother is alive, happy for that, a child should have their parents, but I kinda wanted to see how things would go if Luna only had Clevatess and Co to take care of him... not that the princess could do much, Clevates will still take care and guide Luna, and there is very little anyone can do.

I am curious how this story will develop in the grand scheme of things, i need to do a reread, but the things I think were implied is... that the people in this peninsula are forced to stay in it, don't remember if they were pushed to it, but it is clear that there is a bigger world outside... but that brings the question why the Devil Kings only stay in the immediate vicinity of this area.

There are some directions this could take that I would find cool, hope the author has a good plan for that.

1. In that same page the other girl seems to be completely unaware of the devil blood thing, suggesting 'humanity has advanced' is probably not the reason if only Dorel seem to be using it + relies on another beast king.

2. His attack in ch 1 was less because he finds humanity a threat and more like annoyance at the idea that they'll keep coming back to invade his land.

Even in this chapter it's pretty clear he could've escape the prison if he wanted to.

I don't understand it, should it be 'This power become effective when touch'? She needs to touch metal with her bare hand to be able to control them so she need to take off her gloves each time. She is also shown to be able to control it remotely so I am not sure it correct or not but that line is really confusing. I don't know the raw so it's just guessing base on context.

Is Clevatess correct with that guess though? What if Dorel overpowered another Beast King and took that one's power for himself? Clevatess only showed a fraction of his power, but there is nothing to say Dorel showed more either.

Thanks for the translation! One sentence that didn't make much sense to me was on page 15 when Clevatess said "Get changed, the bug juice will transfer". I feel like it was meant to say "the bug juice will stain" perhaps? Honestly it's a tiny thing that probably doesn't matter much though.
