I'll be soon joining a Law school and I've heard Law schools changes people from within, I wonder how much of it is true and how much would it change me as a person.
A friend of mine became really deft at drawing while attending classes, but for some reason he decided to remain in the same business despite his skills. I'm pretty sure he could have created a Virtual Avatar to become the strongest lawyer-Vtuber before even Vtubers were trending, but he was more a fan of wearing gowns, capes and all the stuff that involves becoming a judge here. Not that it stops him from wanting to cosplay...

Have to submit my final thesis (Degree) to my coordinator. Already past the deadline.

Have to wait for an approval from a 2nd examiner before I can submit the thesis. Finally got it today.

Finally submit it along with the final thesis.

Did you guys submit your assignments in hardcopy or softcopy form? In my uni, most of our assignments were submitted in softcopy form to the official uni student website or the lecturer's gdrive.

I felt bad and respect anybody who still submit their works in hardcopy form. ๐Ÿซก

The physical sometime can be a pain. Especially with professor that lived outside town. You need to wait for the right opportunity

Even messenging em is also not guaranteed :haa:

As a former college student, one of the best set of skills you can have in college, imo, is communications and etiquette. Especially for bargaining; like, coaxing profs to extend deadlines, etc.

Also coordination; as in, being a good leader. Not a perfect one. I feel like most of my classmates are those type of people who wait for the perfect person to come in and sort things out for them (I was one of them); nah it don't work like that. You gotta have the mindset of get shit done, or else you're gonna pay for it in the future.

What a coincidence! You're in 2nd semester! I dropped out in 2nd semester! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
2023 was a bitch of a year to me

Skripsi mah nanti lah. If it happens, it happens. One thing about skripsi is that, as long as you're the one doing it, you're fine.
Soalnya kalo ngejoki ya, nanti saat disidang bakal ketahuan.

Alamak....
You'll be fine. Just pay attention to your classes, do your assignments properly and pair up with capable classmates.
If you can go through this, you can be better than me in academic progress.

I never went to college and still landed a successful career at a robotics company.

Maybe look at it as a choice, not a requirement?
That's interesting!! The country where I'm from treats a bachelor's degree as part of basic education...oh!! I don't mean it in a literal kind of way, but more like, "since majority of people have a degree so you, too, need one to stand on the same ground" kind of thing!! I don't think my country has much opportunities for people without degree, most of them end up with a low paying job or end up in an unconventional sector. So most of the youth are actually pressured into going to Universities or college just so they can keep their boat afloat.๐Ÿ˜•๐Ÿ˜•

Life is so bad huh ๐Ÿ—ฟ

Here that's not the case but the company still had their way to shit on people by manipulating extremely stupid job requirements. All job vacancy ask you to be under 30, with stupid achievement only to give it low pay because they are young and didn't know better.

I remember encountering ridiculously stupid one where the job desk labeled for rookie. It was not, only the salary, they even require you to had experience on the job even tho for rookie

Got a story for you guys...

About two weeks ago, I got a test for Occupational Safety & Health (OSHA) course. Finally did the test and got back home to study for next exam and rest.

Suddenly at 2 in the morning, I heard a loud explosion. This explosion is strange because it's not like a thunderstorm. Turns out my family also heard it and we went outside.

What I saw is a burning factory somewhat closer to my home. Saw a pretty large fire coming from the factory. Don't worry. No one near the residential area got hurt. The loud explosion came from a large fuel tank near the factory's parking lot. The fire didn't reach the residential area and stayed within the factory. Took them till afternoon to finally put it out completely.

And I was like, wow, the powers that be wants me to apply my knowledge on OSHA for this a bit too late. All I can think of is that probably some health & safety officers will visit that factory and questions the employer & employees about the incident.

It's the same here to a degree. I know a lot of people who went to college and university, but just ended up going into pretty heavy debt to get a useless degree in a field where they never got a job.

It's not to day that I don't have extensive training in my field, but I never stepped into a formal classroom setting to get a degree.

What are the best kinds of jobs to get when in College? I am a commuter and have to drive about an hour up and hour back every weekday. I usually get home before 4 or 5. Are there good jobs with hours past that (or with flexible schedules) that you would recommend?
