Idk what else to call it. "tourism" tag?

There are alot of manga out there that is really made just to get people to come to their dying prefecture or town, and I'd like to find more.

off the top of my head? there are a few of them, but I can only recall these.

I'll edit this when I think of more. I swear there is more than what I can remember.

Manga
Cuprum's Bride (promoting Niigata's Tsubame-Sanjo. An artisan town. Goes into great detail on how artisians in that town makes certain stuff and local areas.)
Dosanko Gyaru wa Namaramenkoi (various information on Hokkaido's more rural areas and tourism spots.)
Locodol (the girls use their talent to promote Nagarekawa in Hiroshima and their businesses)

Anime:
Sakura Quest. (basically trying to glorify rural area of Nanto, in Toyama, Which is where the animation studio is located)
Zombie Land Saga. (it's in the title, the entire anime goes out of it's way to insert ideal charm points about Saga in Kyushu. From the famous local restaurants, customs, and etc. Hell the entire anime was made to promote Saga as it's the plot of the series to bring life back to Saga.)
Love Live Sunshine. (taking place in Uchiura in Numazu city, another rural dead town, going out of their way to give it charm points)

Not that I think the tag is particularly necessary or widely applicable,
but here's one where tourism is the central focus (and not just secondary, like Dosanko Gyaru, which is a romcom first and foremost):
https://mangadex.org/title/46313/hannari-girori-no-yoriko-san
Yoriko, the storekeeper of a tobacco shop in a corner of Kyoto, one of the world's leading tourist destinations.
She looks unfriendly because of the cold eyes, but is actually a little shy and very gentle ☆
Yoriko introduces Kyoto's wonderful points such as sightseeing spots and delicious things ♪

nah, it's more than that. Japan has a long history of dying towns and prefectures. As most people move to higher populated areas like Tokyo or Osaka. These stories are very obviously speific to attract people to come to these towns and prefectures.

There is a difference between something taking place in New York, and something that goes out of it's way to name every single good point ABOUT new york.

Don't know what the MU category (Tokyo?, Kyoto? Osaka?Travel?) for this might be but some things come to mind:

no, i'm trying to make a suggestion -which i would claim as peaceful, that may or may not cause thousands of future titles get locked.

@Nako

Thanks for the suggestions and the topic about Anime tourism

yeah. IT's very much a plan to get people to come to these dying places. The area Sunshine is located is now swamped with tourism, they've opened branded hotels. There was the nontroversey of the local oranges packaging as well!

So yeah, there are anime and manga with the express goal of either, gettin people to come to their town, get tourism up, get people to move there, sell their local goods, or keep a profession alive.

not exactly the same but maybe a little broader in mangaupdates is travel. Would seem to fit what he is talking about and could include other manga too, like a bike travel one that I saw recently.

As to his title, Come visit our Prefecture, you could probably toss in the Isekai. Isn't that basically the ultimate Visit Our Prefecture? Come to our world, visit our quaint villages, meet interesting people, see our monsters and then kill them.

"(Official) Travel/Tourist Guide", "Tourism Marketing/Campaign", "Destination Marketing", "Tourist Information" ... Just thinking aloud...

MU has an "Americans Travel to Japan" category....

Edit: some titles might also be listed in the "Edutainment" category in MU

lets not. It doesnt count. These are real life places people need people to come to. Not some lonely neet who wants to escape reality.

As stated before a recommended collection would solve all of these kinds of issues.
There could be a manga collections of tourism & culture of japan. I'm baffled that this is just completely ignored.
