If gawa is derived from tokusatsu, imo 'form' is quite fitting instead of 'suit'. Of course it's just my opinion, I'm not a toku fan so take it with a grain of salt. It's just a thought that popped up because of the few magical girl series I've seen, they unlock new forms like dragon ball.

Off topic, but even if it seems very plot armour ish, there's something very romantic about unlocking a new form in the nick of time just to defeat the new enemy.
