idk, I don't think this manga had legs anyway without the axe. the mangaka wasn't very good at tying things together and even the first two volumes which are apparently The Good Ones felt like events just happened one after another and not a connected set of stories to grow characters. it's a good concept and the art is great but the writing just wasn't there to support it in the slightest. probably the most unfortunately deserved axe ive seen. hopefully next time they pair with a good writer and can make something special. good on the translator for putting in the hard work and finishing it cause I would've given up

Thanks for the translation. Definitely needed another volume or two but alas that is how it goes sometimes. Still, I purchased the volumes.

Welp, that was an ending of all time I guess. Good for Tsumugu at least to get her own arc completed and show her motivation.

I'm not entirely sure the point of swerving it back to Owner/Tao so hard at the end if only to keep it technically open ended but sure okay.

@Hachyguy, whomever your cleaner, etc. is didn't give the 2 page spreads justice at all. There were 6 of them this chapter. I've done them all, but I don't wanna post them here. I don't know how to get a hold of you as you're not on the discord server (or at least not by the Hachyguy nick). DM me or smth and I'll give them to you to replace the single pages of the 2 page spreads.

The worst part of this is it was axed before there was ever really a chance to help save it. By the time common yuri fans learned about it, it was over.

Be sure to support the yuri you can right now or in the future if licensed.
When you sell a "yuri" manga in a yuri-adjacent magazine but then the "girl" who's a main love interest for the MC and also the owner's sex friend turns out to be a crossdressing guy... You can't really save it anymore. You baited an audience and served them something else.

Started out really good, but the quality got absolutely nuked.
Also blaming it fully on the axe doesn't even seem accurate; the manga had already been stagnating for a while now, the axe just seemed to be the final nail in the coffin.

Don't know what's worse, the author getting news of the axe last minute and having to rush an ending; Or the author getting news of the axe well in advance and still deciding to add unnecessary sideplots and fluff instead of actually giving the main characters a satisfying ending and devlopment.

I feel like the author always wanted to explore their relationship more (and maybe develop the 4 of them as being in some poly situation), it just took a backseat to slowly developing the new one between Tao and Tsumugu. Miki seems to be a big part of why Tao has been able to socially transition, after all. Then the axe came and all their big moments got shoved into one volume, and there wasn't much time for highlighting the other relationships.

We helped Love Bullet, so it can be done, but it takes luck to catch it in time.

Luck and the community organization to push it. Love Bullet was saved because it the community pushed it to go viral and the big social media accounts fed it into the algorithm. It's something that should be done more.

Tao is trans. The mangaka directly states this. Yuri is yuri.

Tell that to the people voting with their wallet, aka the japanese public. Crossdressing, genderbender isekais, transgenders, futanari and similar concepts aren't considered yuri at all in the japanese market. That's why you never saw and will never see any of those topics in specialized magazines like Yuri Hime.

man the axe is so painfully obvious... i feel bad for the author, there really was no way to make the ending good with how little chapters they were allowed to make. it really shows we have to support yuri series more so that this doesn't happen again... or at least so that it happens less often :'C
