The idea that the peaceful protests should be condemned because they bring forth violence is absurd. To quote King, "Isn't this like condemning the robbed man because his possession of money precipitated the evil act of robbery?",
"it is immoral to urge an individual to withdraw his efforts to gain his basic constitutional rights because the quest precipitates violence."
"Nonviolent direct action seeks to create such a crisis and establish such creative tension that a community that has consistently refused to negotiate is forced to confront the issue. It seeks so to dramatize the issue that it can no longer be ignored"
To consistently deny the progress and development of the Black Lives Matter movement due to the precipitation of violence is beyond disappointing. This direct confrontation and spread of the protests in every facet of life including your games, movies, and manga, does not create tension and hatred, it only reveals it. @Mr_Detective I agree, there are many good people fighting for justice and for human dignity; but there are many who are not, and who choose to submit to ignorance and escapism; for this site to support this action of incredulity is upsetting. The point is not to broadcast these ideals for a positive appearance but to create conflict so that those who do not have a stance are forced to confront reality, or to first realize its existence. We have been subjected to the word "wait" in every protest, which as King exemplifies almost perfectly "This 'wait' has almost always meant 'never.'". Apparently, there is and never will be a better time to take a stand for accountability and human life. As if these same words were not echoed during previous protests. The greatest plague of all, more dangerous than COVID-19, is injustice and destruction of human dignity. When it is seen that police murder and attack unjustifiably and you have seen your race treated as lesser than white, and seen your cries for change mitigated and met with the term "wait", then you can understand this impatience. Suffering stems from this inaction and quietness.
