It's like to say surgeons have a purpose because they remove forgotten items they left inside patients.
Of course police has a purpose, even those who want to "defund" it acknowledge that. But that doesn't give them a reason to randomly shoot and beat up people and be protected from consequences.

What a sound parallel to introduce near the end of the first arc. Surprising character development for what we thought were joke characters, and kinda subversive if you think about it. Solid thematic throughline all things considered, although the pacing seems kinda erratic at times. 2020 is shaping out to be one of the best volumes so far.

Again, you're comparing a government agency with supposedly trained personnel to a mob of angry people guided by herd behavior. If this is your justification for the actions of the police prior to the riots, things are really fucked up.

And this is not like the chicken or the egg dilemma. These protests and riots happen every other year, but they happen only after some cops do some retarded shit and then act like they're the victim. Personally, I'm quite tired of this shit - police fuck-ups and riots alike. The simplest solution I see is to take away the reason for riots, in other words - get rid of police unions, increase training hours, enforce accountability. If this is too much to ask, I guess riots it is 🙄
