A small TL note on the chapter title that I felt was minor but wanted to note: in しっかりものの幼馴染と、酔っ払い,

酔っ払い (yopparai) has two meanings: it could either be the state of being drunk (ie. 酔っ払い運転, yopparai unten / drunk driving) or someone who is drunk. My interpretation is that for a chapter title referring to Kaito here as "a drunk" would fit what happens better. It's rather ambiguous here though.

The entire series is told with no particular care to chronology, so yeah I do believe this is before they were married.

You know what? Unless you were buying a dirt cheap, mass produced ring, most, if not all, jewelers provide size change service for free, or at most, for material cost; so you just have to get it in the ballpark. The case you don’t want is the ring cannot be put on at all or comically too large, but minor error is fine.

Practical guide that should apply most of the time is finding which of your finger is closest to her ring finger. Unless you’re a bear dating petite girl, there ought to be one. Or if she wears fashion ring on other finger (ideally index, middle, or other ring finger), try it on one of your finger if you have the chance.
