I've been a fan of manga for more than 20 years, i used to read manga on Chinese websites. Since nowadays more and more of these sites starting charging for reading. I turned to English manga site, What surprised me is that most websites contains so many Chinese manga. Despite its low quality, I think Chinese manga's genre, style and cultural background are totally different from Japanese manga. I don't know much about English reader, but for me, I do not read Chinese manga at all. Could you just separate them or tag Chinese manga so I can filter them more easily

It's already separated into different categories by language of origin. Also the ability to blacklist a series based on language of origin is in the planned features alternatively you could use the search menu go to original language tab and sort them out that way.

@laster Just search by language of origin -> Japanese if you want to find only Manga
Language of origin -> Chinese = Manhua
Language of origin -> Korean = Manhwa

We aren't going to create a distinct tag specifically for each

in the mean time you could try exclude long-strip format on setting.
it'll block about 566 out of 1489 chinesse manhua (~38%) and 1264 out of 2101 (77%) korean manhwa.
you'll also block about 162 manga though, but you could simply skim through them and look for one that might fancy you then follow them, hence the block won't matter..

I find that doesn't make sense, isn't language of origin technically is a tag by itself already?
isn't all these banter is just a matter of making them a visible choice to be excluded on the setting (like the chapter filter)? - which is, as far as I know, already planned anyway.

The reason language of origin is separated from tags is because language of origin is mutually exclusive, and tags are not.

just like demographic and publication status (and of course the chapter language), which are technically also a tag eventhough they're not included on the filterable tag listing, right?
no, wait, that's just semantic, and I think we're in a bit of misunderstanding as of now.

what I can't understand is, in a sense part of what OP ask is already here (separation based on original language), why this thread tagged as rejected and why the given reason is that it won't be a tag?
I mean, what lacking is just an implementation of filtering based on the original language - which afaik is planned already.
is the planning is cancelled so it's rejected? surely, even if original language won't be a "formal" tag on the setting, it's still possible to filter them like the chapter language filter on the "quick" setting.

How can I filter Chinese manhwa from the frontpage feed? There are options for content, format, genre and themes, but I can't find anything regarding the country of origin.

that's still planned feature.

what technically already implemented is the distinction between japanesse manga and chinesse manhua in form of country of origin.
try reading the discussion again.

I also want to completely filter all chinese and korean "manga" from my FRONT PAGE, not search.
These comics are waste of space eyesore to me. I don't want them and surely many people also don't want them.
