Pretty solid stuff. I am actually considering buying the LNs just to keep reading this work.
One of the actual rare occasions where, for an instance, the MC receives ultimate power (#1 on the charts), but the first thing he and his coworker thought about are "stonks".
A very adult-like mentality. They're not around to conquer the planet and set things ablaze, they want to profit in the most sensible way possible, in an incline, as to not completely set the world against them immediately.

The auction-house though was a pretty ballsy move, which still seems pretty dumb to me.

Unfortunately, from Ch. 34 Manwhafreak have taken over scanlation and appear to be butchering this pretty badly. So what was at least an '8' now becomes a '4' and gets dropped. Hope a better version appears some day.

Sort of like that Sail boat isekai, the author ran out of steam by the first arc and has no idea besides upping stakes or dragging the characters around. Hell, the original idea of researching the dungeon basically stopped being a thing and it's now fuck around till the volume ends.

From the little I read of the LN (of what was also pretty much translated from the manga here),
I also felt like that line was really stupid, but at the same time -- it's also so apropos that it doesn't affect anything.
These guys do not bitch and moan every page or so, that they just want to bum out and stop working. It was a one-off statement. It's no big deal.

I am now going to start reading the 3rd volume, and see if the MC actually turns into an annoying Jap bitch who constantly whines about wanting a "simple-country-life" while doing the exact opposite of that or not.

EDIT: Having read the 2nd and 3rd volumes, gotta say, this story is MASSIVELY MID.
Long story short, the author "talks" way too fucking much. Two characters will have a conversation, and then the author hard-hit the pause button on the scene just so he can info dump about something random.

For an instance, a character gives another character a potted plant of a certain species.
Then the author will write an entire page worth of descriptions about that potted plant. And that happens for the entirety of the book, all the time. A character says 1 word, and then 10 lines of random trivia info dump. Jesus fucking christ this guy can't stop showing off he knows shit, god damn.
At some point I started skipping A LOT of plot, just to get to the parts I personally find interesting. There's even an entire chapter dedicated to "taking our friend to Akihabara!" -- Who gives a fuck?? And nothing interesting even happens, it's the most mid SOL shit I had have ever seen in my entire life. 60+ pages for that? No thank you.

The MCs are pretty stupid and the whole plot with the random info dumps are pretty annoying



(Minor spoiler: National level threat/opportunity and the government dont even want a simple IP address search, because human rights? Damn, these government officials are very kind hearted)

But I still enjoyed it, especially the dungeon research, I have never read another one where they just straight up started to statistically and scientifically research the dungeon themselves.
Was good until the new scanlators picked it up, Nightbug's scanlations were godly, but the new one are butchered, so probably gonna have to wait for the official english release (or learn Japanese, 50/50).

It's very japanese, in the way Shin Godzilla was and not in the usual 'this is so anime' sort of way. Lots of bureaucracy, both (dry) satirical and played for drama. It's different, at least!
