is it just me or did the author get better to do the characters. not that they were bad but.. i like this improvement.

and imagine that you sort of fear a flock of people who are so powerful and then you hear they are crying and saying sorry in middle of a street. it is so funny. "Uh what?":pacman:

This was actually a really good showing of how much stronger Reisu is than the knight and, by extension, the average fighter. No need for flashy smashes and shit, just 'Oh, that's all she can do?' Bonus points for the knight being equally aware of how things stand.

Oh so she's not completely out of class, but the knight is smart, learned fast, and paid attention.

No reason not to make sure the flock considers all the other nations breakfast....

Also heroine got to interact with someone. Maybe that's why everyone's crying? Sheer relief.

Honestly instead of letting them into the city they should have them set up tents outside the city limits for shelter until a new section can be built to segregate them out and introduce them over time. Until people learn how to interact with them they are extremely dangerous and so the interactions they are able to have should be limited until then.
Wonder if the "everything is food" will be a constant running gag, or if they'll adjust within a volume.
I really hope they adjust, it really kills the pacing, I don't want them to become geniuses but being able to learn a bit so we don't have to pause the story to calm them down every couple pages would be nice.

I agree that I hope they will adjust at some point, but we're still pretty early on (only ch 5) so I feel like pacing wise the author is doing a fine job of pacing and still outlining the conflict/struggles of integrating what are essentially feral animals into civilized society. Additionally, there hasn't been a single chapter where I've felt the story hasn't had some kind of forward motion for the story.

I get the feeling that Matilde is going to be assigned as the liaison (babysitter) to the flock, and that a separate compound will be built to house them. It's obvious that the littles ones can learn, given them knowing "breakfast", but it takes consistency and repetition. I foresee 3 major roadblocks in their development:

1) Splitting up. Their instincts tell them to always group up, so the idea of them not wandering around as a single flock may cause issues.
2) The Flight/Fight/Child mentality. Their entire lives have consisted of either running away from something, killing and eating something, or being adorable children. They have no concept of proportionate response, so if someone decides to F with them it'll either drive them out or result in the offender being eaten.
3) Recognizing variation. It seems like they're going to have a hard time differentiating people, and will likely have a hard time telling the difference between people to trust and people to not trust.

My expectation was low because it's a genderswap isekai, but this is a very good read.
It's one of those "genderswap isekai" where neither the genderswap nor the isekai are relevant after the first few pages of chapter 1. MC doesn't even have a Japanese name. It's just a cheap plot device to make the OP MC more relatable to the target audience.

And then bring it up later on in the story as an important plot point when almost everyone has forgotten about it. Most of the time, it kills the pace when they go this direction.
