What I don't get, is why the mc considers it a bad thing if the wedding is called off. A literal goddess said that it is probably a bad idea, meaning odds are that its bad for more than mere mortal reasons. Like, say, bad for the spirits (aka mc, dad and mom).

Poor uncle, man. I don't think this stunt was a bad idea, because having your marriage publicly denounced by a goddess is gonna ruin way more than the marriage's prospects. Still, they're probably gonna have to sit Aria down and figure out just what her problem is. The actual marriage is probably off.

The fact that his marriage with the princess was allowed, however, kinda makes no sense.

the drama is really weird. because they are too strong. i find the king a pitiful bastard? but he deserves it, he deserves to have no chance of 'success'. i don't feel any tension.
the worst thing that could happen is the royal bastards killing themselves and causing the whole region to fall into chaos. -_-
what can he do really? for something bad to happen to a hero, a spirit queen and an reincarnation, only if they were really incompetent, to a point of being absolute idiots.
it is really weird how that guy wants to be well treated by the spirits, canceling the curse, but look what he has been doing. he is taking their isolating themselves for granted, he is taking the mercy for granted. if he ever succeed, i mean, even stronger restrictions will fall into his head and the head of the people he rules, if not a total annihilation. lucky him those three are good at heart, because if not... ho ho ho... if they were like some others mc's... poor him lel

@never_preorder I think the idea is to sabotage the marriage so that the uncle's child will never be seen as the family's legitimate heir, forcing Ellen to fill that role. With that Ellen will also be forced into human noble society and give the king an opportunity to set up a marriage with Ellen and the prince.

It's not that the goddess blessed their marriage, but rather because the fat cow was part of the royal family, she was under the same spirit curse as the rest of them.

i.e. No spirits want to be anywhere near them.

So the goddess said "ew no, I'm not going anywhere near that", and her lack of judgement was assumed to be approval.

Maybe the curse the royal family is under causes the three goddess to ignore everything they do unless the royal misdeeds are brought to their attention or if it harms their family (Might be why the royals are still around despite everything)

It was way more brutal in the previous chapter's comment section xD this is pretty tame, glad people calmed down somewhat!
Seriously, that hero was described as someone everone fell in love at first sight, it's not like Aria really did something... She was just charmed, essentially. As long as she doesn't actively seduce her brother in law, she's totally fine.

Totally adore the kids though. Looking forward to the next chapter and hopefully their real meeting with each other!!

I would agree with you, that the goddess just stays away from royals, if not for the fact the goddess intervened when Agielle rushed Rovel during her divorce hearing.
They touch on it in this chapter as well, but only in imagery.

I had thought of that, and originally had it written as an either/or in my first comment. But then I remembered she approved the abomination that was the uncle's first marriage. If she had a thing for him, she wouldn't approve any marriage.
