I do put most of the machine translations into my own words and usually look at the panels to see what actions the characters are doing.
What’s your native language? I’ve only read a bit of the prior chapter but the grammar needs someone familiar with english or a native to get it to what I’d say is an acceptable level. Since you’ve posted something already why not ask for help just with the proof reading and editing since most series (like this one) with a good or even decent level of scans won’t be the biggest fan of your translations.

I personally would give your scans a miss on this series since the prior groups quality is worth waiting a month or three for but that’s me.

I’m an English speaker, I mostly use MTLs and put them into my own words, I think I honestly just have bad grammar or what not, so I miiight need to learn a little bit more basic grammar, or basic sense of what I’m trying to make the character say.

I only wanted to make the story make sense to the readers at the most but didn’t really think through the whole quality checking, as I thought it would be at least readable to a high schooler’s level.

Just to clarify, I have no intention of becoming this series’s new group translator, I only did this for fun I should’ve justified that more clearly. 😅 But it’s true that I probably need an editor for my works. Thanks for the feedback!

That's fair, it's not that it's unreadable. In fact it is readable at a high schoolers level but it's clunky and the clunkiness is what takes me out of it. Also the flow from bubble to bubble is not maintained which is almost always a sign of MTL. The conversation and a lot of times the bubbles are a continual stream rather than separate lines so when they're translated and don't account for that it makes reading it unpleasant.

I'd again recommend find someone to proof read if you do translate again, it'll help you with your english too. Lots of grammar rules don't make sense unless you're very familiar with english. Also I'd recommend against terms like "down bad" in a translation especially if the setting isn't modern and it's not translating a particular slang used in the original text. It again can distract from what you're reading.

That's fine, tbh picking a series with a regular translator who's good and doesn't mind you being on it (even though it really doesn't matter) could help, having the comparison to what you arrive at can highlight areas of improvement. Some people can get pissy between groups but if you dm them on discord or even on here beforehand and let them know it can help you avoid drama.

Good Luck anyhow.
