The main issue is the staff recommendations are a small set of series. It's basically a single list, which rotates occasionally, but that's it.

Community lists can be much longer, can be focused on certain genres or ideas, etc. They exist right now, as Trodsen helpfully points out:

... But they can't be shared or discovered except externally. MVP would be a public "list of Lists" somewhere on the site, but preferably it would be sorted by follows on that list.

Lists are pretty much half-implemented. At some point, they might as well not exist because if you need an external tool to find them, you might as well put the list on that external tool, too. Why share a List when you could share a list of links, unless the List can be found from within the website?
it can be found within the website, it's just really clunky atm, since the only place they're available is on a user's profile. However once you've actually found the list you can follow it, which eliminates any kind of external tool need

Before the redesign, this website used to have a "most viewed of the last 8 hours/24hours/7 days" list on the homepage, it would list the top 10 titles of each metric. This was a great way to discover titles, it's weird that it still hasn't been brought back yet when I consider it to have been one of the most important features of the website. It's been years since the redesign, I mean c'mon guys. I mean if it's some kind of money issue, I think alot of people would donate just to have this feature back and even accept some advertisements on the homepage just to have it back. Again, I discovered SO many titles thanks to this one feature, even many one shots and "meme titles" that were popular for a a day/week that I wouldn't have noticed otherwise.

Like, when I look at this thread listing "planned features":

https://forums.mangadex.org/threads/read-this-first-list-of-planned-features-changes-tweaks.2029269/

Most of this shit pales in comparison to how vital it is for the "top 10 most viewed 8 hours/24 hours/7 days" list to come back and this feature should be pushed to the top of the list. And as you said OP, it doesn't have to be only be based on views, it could also be based on most follows or highest number reviews above, lets say, a score of 8 in the last 8 hours/24 hours/7days".

Hi, I've merged these threads since in essence all of them are asking for the same thing.

If you wonder why this hasn't been implemented, refer to this comment
Reliant on public views, blocked until that's sorted.

One of the features I miss from the old UI is the list of what were the most read things that day, I personally found a lot of great manga that I never would have found otherwise through that section, and I honestly have stopped using the site as much since its removal.

After 10 months it seems to me that the functionality of the new site is completely on par with the old version, with the exception of this issue and the embedded comments.
Are any update on this topic available?
This feature helped me in the past to discover countless gem, while the popular new titles feature is totally useless for my personal tastes.
It’s now been 25 months, and neither of these two issues has changed, not even an ETA. Are they at least on the backlog? Could we please get an update on their status?
