This chapter really highlighted hizumi's mental state. It felt kind of jarring to see just how much big sis changed in a short period of time, but I think that was an intentional thing from the author. It almost felt like the original big sis outright dissappeared, which seems to be what Hizumi thinks will happen once Shinba improves.

I feel like it'll be interesting once big sis comes back into the story. It could show how despite changing so much, she's still the same person at her core. It could convince Hizumi to worry less because she'll know that Shinba improving doesn't mean that he'll just disappear.

Beautiful conclusion to the Sister arc, I love how she basically became a different person and actually held her own in the professional field and finally no more ero-sensei, a true sign of maturity.

I also like how this was a catalyst for Shinba to want to improve on his own since he realize that Hizumi basically cant teach him, he must do it himself and learn to spread his wings as well. Side note from this, we fully see Hizumi's fear of abandonment on display when she asks the tantalizing question, "are you happy your sister's moved on?". Clearly she wants to see him improve but she's deathly afraid of losing him at the same time which keeps him & her in limbo since shes consistently clinging to his loser side for the sake of love and he keeps being that loser for the sake of her. Hopefully, now that the sister arc is over we can finally focus on Hizumi's backstory and how she became the way she is now and her fears.

This manga is the only one that keeps me consistently entertained with each release, I haven't felt this shit since "Don't toy with me miss Nagatoro"

I think their relationship is a double edged sword. She's a major reason why he wants to change in the first place. Without her, he probably wouldn't have changed at all. At the same time, she's actively encouraging him to not change.

She's like a person who nursed a sick bird to health, but is scared that it'll dissappear into the sunset the second it can fly. However, it's only a matter of time before Shinba starts to soar. It seems she knows this, but is still scared of what will happen.

Shinba saying that his it feels like his big sister may never come back to him and he needs to grow up to find a new place to belong is an interesting choice of words. Those words are ones that would definitely cause maximum dread for Hizuma. Part of me wonders if he deep deep down knows that she is whats holding him back. That he needs to ultimately break away in order to improve.

I dont see them breaking up, its just the road to whatever the happy ending is will be filled with much soul searching to say the least.

These kinds of developments are always so bittersweet. Change is a scary thing at times and seeing the person you've come to know your entire life become almost a completely different person gives an overwhelming sense of loneliness.

I am enjoying this. When it started, it looked just a pathetic incel fantasy on how a complete loser has a dommy-mommy falling for him. But the story is really going places. His and his sister backstory made my eyes water a bit a we see more and more that there is depth to be explored with his girlfriend. Really curious to see where the story goes.

Page 22: once again Hizumi's abandonment issues coming to surface after depicting the migratory butterflies nature. Gonna guess the final arc will revolve about the dangers of Shinba graduating from being a loser in Hizumi's eyes. Knowing Iwaba drinks a lot of inspiration from dark romance stories (one of them having been a suicide love story of a boy drifting in the abyss of despair), i have a stramge certainity of Hizumi's backstory being more traumatic than the others.

Sure it hurts when someone leaves the nest, but hey, at least Suseri was finally dealt, but the results of her graduation put more pressure on Hizumi...
