the fact that it took only 1 (or more recently few pages) each chapters makes me forgot that yea it has well estabilished world building and somehow despite everything, it's pretty grounded.

as others pointed out already, Satou has been blessed with Akane, a mother that still loves her daughters and even has little sister after him. it's crazy that i didn't think too much about it until now, and it even has been hinted on old chapter that a mother usually doesn't want to have another kid after getting a son. i think Suzuki also has little sister? or maybe just a last child on his family? (i forgot please cmiiw)

just a more of a reminder that Satou's life situation could be worse if Akane doesn't care with her daughters, like a mother usually would apparently in this world.

I actually don't mind the "slow burn" of worldbuilding we're getting compared to the ratio of fun stuff.

It just makes the fact that having 3,800% more women than men has staggering effects on human society stand out more while keeping the series relatively light-hearted.

I don't think expelled is the right translation here. Expelled would be that the school made the decision to remove Sou from the student body. If the parents/student chooses to leave the school it would be withdraw, dropping out, or unenrollment. None of those can cleanly be swapped with expelled that clearly explains itself without additional context so maybe expelled is fine here even if not exactly accurate.

I think "withdrawn" is probably the term you are looking for.

Probably because she sees Yuri as another woman who will neglect her daughters for a man. Her book shelf has at least $500 worth of heavy ass self-help textbooks just from what we see. That is not easy to get on a neglected girl's allowance.

If I had to guess, Sou has an uncle and Akane is a Ruri who rebelled against the world in her own way. In genetics, families that have fraternal twins are more likely to continue to have them. I suspect a similar rule applies here to explain the low male birth rate.

You're right with Akane. And it just occurred to me that this isn't just a second chance for Sou (to have a family), but for the Satou women too.
