Shuu has a rather cynical look on life, but as a son of a businessman, it makes sense. He's ok with making friends, but because of who he is, he knows it could lead somewhere else. I thought the classmate is his childhood friend as well as his fiancée to be, with the twist that he assumed his childhood friend was a boy, so he didn't recognise her. Well, I guess I'll find out in the next half of the chapter lol
