Only just noticed the interesting contrast between Hiro's earrings and the protagonist's. She has rings where he has dots, and vice versa. It's almost like a physical representation of yin and yang, and that dichotomy applies to their personalities too, with her being much more direct and bold compared to his roundabout, restrained persona. Their interactions are fun so far, and I have a feeling there's a lot more in store for the two of them, especially if this was an intentional design choice and not just a silly little coincidence.

better translation but many mistakes too imho and I'm in my 1000% nitpicky mode today 'cause I lost 100 pulls for Nasti and got Hoederer (50) and Vivianna (100) instead.

remove the desuwa? 1M% unforgivable.
It's nice to have better translation, but just a head's up. Everything is missing the dorm names now.
Yellow = Flavum
Red = Rufus
Blue = Caeruleum
yep. missing dorm names

Sanjou not Sanjo.
Eisbelt not Eisbert. Don't you dare think I didn't see that letter edit you did in the image.
MC's name is Hiiro not Hiro. Literally written as Fire Colour.
Lily addresses Hiiro with his surname and proper honourifics... Sanjou-sama.

Ain't even read the chapter yet but thanks for an actual translation, if the previous translator isn't returning we're in good hands. :salute:

Read it and I forgot how much of a I forgot what the opposite of a fujoshi the MC is. I do wonder if he'll actually engage romantically with anyone at any point, I don't think anything could push this MC to not Yuri ship whilst simultaneously downing every ship that exists.
Fujoshi = rotten girl, girl that like yaoi, so…
Fudanshi = rotten boy, a boy that like yaoi… but that wasn’t the question… but eh, these are the “original terms”, that started off as slur against these fan, that they reclaimed. Then later, they did create terms for yuri, based on these… but that one was directly created from fans… and based on the name of a popular yuri magazine back then… so here it is:
Himejoshi = princess girl, a girl that like yuri
Himedanshi = princess boy, a boy that likes yuri.

So yeah, there you go!

This was a rush job, but I do know Japanese and it should make sense at the very least. If the previous scanlator happens to be reading this and intends to continue, please message me on my Mangadex account and let me know.
Also Myuru does in fact say speed limit in that one panel if anyone was curious.
Thanks for the tl, it's a very decent tl, I'd pick this over the previous one any day of the week!
I hope you keep it up from now on too, it's a waste not having a good tl for this series.

For the record, Hiiro's original is a yuributa because of... reasons. Don't try to dignify his bad habits. He spends an inordinate amount of time in denial over his harem protagonist status, and at the point the web novel reached, only three girls in total of the  many who want him managed to pierce his defenses enough to lay some claim to him, very much against his will. He will continue to hilariously be an idiot over it. Too bad for him he will continue o get a harem for our amusement and plot.

You're right. I should note that the web novel translators made her name out to be Mulle Esse Eisbert.

I also want it on record that Snow's has a nasty habit of cockblocking even though she is not best girl.

Lastly, thanks, @grati for your work! Who typeset this?

He should probably accept that the scenario is messed up & enjoy the ride he made.
Anything is better than 0 effort MTL & poor editing so thank you @grati because you are a hero to many. I doubt the other translator will improve their work so I do hope you can continue this but if not, thanks for the translations.
Don't worry, I intend to continue unless the previous translator wants to take over again.

The previous TL didn't use those names written in Furigana either in chapter 12, I followed what they did in an attempt to stay consistent.

Sanjo and Hiro too, I agree it should be Hiiro but I wanted to stay consistent.

1780475686673.png

Eisbert as well, though I'll admit to changing her middle name from Essen to Esse since there's no ン in her name (エッセ)
I don't particularly enjoy toiling away on Photoshop so I'd rather not have to meaninglessly edit it out from the original myself, you know.

1780475660529.png

Honorifics are a different argument altogether, one I'm not willing to get into at the moment. Given the setting there's a lot of ojou/jou/ojousama/oujo etc. usage which I feel is awkward to read in English. I do have my own thoughts on what to include and what to replace but my point is things always end up inconsistent unless you keep every single honorific in... Which wouldn't be a pleasant read if you ask me, especially in a fantasy setting. The previous translator used Princess Lapis for Lapis-oujo for example, while also leaving in Rei-sama in the same panel.

1780475754218.png

I'll remove less honorifics going forward, that said.
Also I noticed while taking the screenshots that chapter 12 had used both the spellings Ophelia and Ofilia. I have not read their chapters other than going through 12 for the names, maybe they've been inconsistent with the rest as well, causing this confusion, I wouldn't know.

1780475910211.png

I hope I don't come off as petty but I don't consider them mistakes, they were all deliberate choices, not necessarily my own.
I might refer to the official LN TL for names going forward though since I don't like many of the localizations like Myuru for example, so if you'd like, do leave your own suggestions both for current and future characters so long as they're not spoilers in some way. There's quite a few names I'm not satisfied with as you can tell, I might make an index with several changes in chapter 15 if I'm still translating it.

It's a one man show, a group only in name.
Now back to editing 14 I go...

Thanks for that, bookmarked for future reference, yeah I figured fujoshi was reclaimed because almost no one would name themselves that. Some of the discussions I see from fujoshi fully justify the label though.

hey... it's good and all... and like I prefaced, I'm super duper salty due to bad gacha so the nitpickiness is on me so don't worry about it. :dogkek:

still though since I do read the raws, it does bothers me a lot when the names in the raw gets "modified" when TLed.
There are points where I agree to but not always kek. Also since you pointed out Ojou-sama's name being different in the same TL, I also got triggered by that after I checked chapter 12. :dogkek:
I simply just TL her name as Ophelia von Margeline since it is more French sounding than a goddamn butter stuff kek.

The previous translator used Princess Lapis for Lapis-oujo for example, while also leaving in Rei-sama in the same panel.
yeah they were going for oujo as a title rather than an honourific even if oujo does translate to princess.

for the Eisbelt lass, I'd suggest Myule Esse Eisbelt as it is Germanic in name theme.

Also since I'm not American or English first country, honourifics bothers me not. Though changing titles like Goshoujin-sama to Master is okay as to not hog all space in the text bubble.

so keep on going on. You're doing great. :dogkek:

All good, and since you've read the raws you know how Tsukiori always uses ヒイロ in kana to refer to him, it's been physically painful to ignore the イ and continue using Hiro.
Myule rolls off the tongue way better than Myuru too, I'll definitely also use Ophelia going forward.
...yeah after all that yapping in my last post I think I'm gonna change the names after all starting from 15. Thanks for the suggestions. I'm still not sure what to do with the dorms though.
In case you're involved in scanlating this series in some other language, would you mind asking your group (or if you're doing it solo then it's a question for you) if they'd be willing to share the redraws with me? I'll properly credit your group and everything. You can tell from my stroke size on the last page how much I hate redrawing myself lol.

Hmm, I see, I wasn't aware of how the raws were handling it, I'm a novel reader, so I'm used seeing them as Flavum, Rufus, Caeruleum.
But now that you show that it's in Furigana, I do wonder if they will keep it like that for most or the rest of the manga.

It's not like the names refer to anything like they do in Harry Potter, where the names are related to the founders, so up to the recent WN novel chapters, nothing of the sort was revealed at least.

I'm not in a Scan team now ever since I got too busy IRL. I was indeed the redrawer back then though :dogkek:

Dorms are Rufus (reds), Caeruleum (blues), and Flavum (yellows).

I'll think about switching those too, thanks again.
If you're reading the LN and not the WN (if that's a thing, I haven't checked) would you happen to remember which volume we're in at this point? I'll just go with the official localized names to avoid this mess for future characters.

LN should be Vol 1 I think (There is an official translation), for the WN, it's the 2nd arc (1st is jut the Sanjou stuff, 2nd is the school start)

I read both, although the WN is significantly far ahead

Bro is simultaneously the worst and best thing about the manga. I can only pray the mangaka will deliver on total yuri death.

Fujoshi is only "reclaimed" in their own minds.
