@Guspaz there are some loaded people who just don't act the part. When you don't really yearn for more, an average working class apartment is generally enough to live with if all you need is a bed, kitchen, the basic washroom and a place to stash your clothes.

eg my boss makes 600k+ USD a year but the only thing that differentiates his abode from mine (30k/year) is his tech/gaming room being much superior to mine, as well as the mattress on his bed. When you ask why, "the kinda people that visits always go straight either to the fun room or to the bed room, so, why waste money elsewhere?" is his reason. Heck, my kitchen is nicer than his purely cause I'm a foodie and he isn't!

I wonder if his parents are staying at her real home. This light-hearted manga would have to take a pretty dramatic turn for them to actually have been killed.

I would bet she enticed his parents into leaving him by letting them stay at her tricked out mansion and ensuring them that she is a very rich and influential woman, and she would marry their son and make them part of her family.

It is odd that he hasn't really talked much about wanting to find his parents until now though. You would think he would be searching for them, or trying to find their whereabouts somehow.
