• Agawa: Completely emotionally unavailable, carrying a ton of baggage. Does clearly have a bad influence upon Gotou, intentional or not.
• Akito: A one sided puppy dog crush essentially, and Gotou’s affinity towards her is more based upon his usual lust but also a hefty amount of guilt than anything else. Not at all a healthy combo
• Shiina: Is basically just playing around with him, the most accurate read Shigemi had.
• Kiyomi: If we’re being totally honest, she obviously has more than a few screws loose, and to put it uncharitably; is sexually predatory (the definition of a “cougar”).

Meanwhile Shigemi actually attempts to understand him on a personal level, and despite some of her reservations, accepts his faults and legitimately tries to better him. There’s a reason Gotou was turned on by her in the previous arc; because she seems genuine to him and not in a crazy way like Kiyomi.

Yup Shige deserves the 1st place trophy in the Gotou bowl plus his mom gave the silent approval. Gotou excels when he's thinking with his dick & wears his heart on his sleeve. Yeah, this doesn't feel like recency bias. Shige just has IT. It's one of those if you know, you know situations. She is just way better than Agawa and it's not even close. Their chemistry is high and their interactions are funny. Gotou just being a loser dweeb and blurting out everthing, and her keeping a poker face mostly, and being blunt with him. It just works.

Yeah but she also literally forgot bros name when asking for him from Agawa lol. I definitely think she has an interest in him beyond sex but I think it is more like Shiina where she doesn't actually have romantic feelings for him and simply derrives some form of personal entertainment from interacting with him.

With the laughing scene the way it is presented to me makes it seem more like straight up mockery rather than the nagatoro type teasing as she would probably be blushing or having a softer expression to go along with it to show she finds his reaction endearing. While our views on her reaction are up to interpretation based on just the drawings the fact that her whole shtick was calling Gotou gross and looking down on him at first makes me think it is more likely she is just straight up making fun of him as she in the end insults him for just wanting sex in the end.

If you want to compare her to Nagatoro then maybe she is more like chapter 1 nagatoro when it comes to teasing as she literally convinced Gotou that none of the girls he interacted with likes him 😭. Don't get me wrong, she is definitely my favourite character in the story but I still doubt she has proper feelings for Gotou right now

Honestly, I think that's the point being made here. Gotou claims to be "in love" but folds every time to have sex. This is exactly what Agawa told him (by asking him to have sex with more people) when he confessed after the threesome, and he has proven her right every time.
