Was there just a difference in the kanji used for the name? If so what is the difference since semen and jizz are the same thing.

In the raws, the term used in Ch 52 was ザーメイト and the one that didn't make the cut was ザメ〇〇. I presume Shaoh was originally going for zamemon (mon from pokemon), aka jiz(z) mon(ster) or to put it simply,

To be fair, the higher ups have every reason to be scared. Japanese copyright laws have no legal provisions for parodies. So there is a real risk that if the IP holder (Nintendo) finds out and dislikes what they are doing, they can sue everyone into oblivion.

Yeah—tbf the name that DID pass was pretty hilarious and it was more or less lighthearted, so fair enough. Not much reason for it not to pass, since it’s not like it’s much more obscene than anything else shown here, lol.

Also for that one comment saying if and when…I hope it’s an if because this is pretty harmless to their indomitable franchise atp. Hard to shake an already solid fan base, after all. Guess they may not tolerate any sort of or form of slander though, if it were to be the case unfortunately.
