He really annoys me when he do things passively causing more people to suffer and die just because he’s lazy and don’t want to deal with the attention.

Having everything develop at a distance and passively observing from the minimap may have worked in the LN, but it does nothing for reader investment in a visual medium.

@Luca44 He's prioritizing the people who are important to him and his friends. I mean, do you care about every single person that dies or suffers just because the news mentions them? Sure, he could try to save them all, but what if he misses 1 or 2 of the demons and they killed his friends? It's too much of a risk to him, so he is choosing not to take it.

I've read the novel and knew that this baron was gullible. His depiction in this manga didn't betray my expectations. How did this guy survive all this time as a noble... orz

In his defense, he has been having his head reworked by a demon, to whom it would have been beneficial for him to be more gullible. And why wouldn't he just let the consul do all the work, leaving him more time to spend with his wife's breasts?

The whole family seems nice but incredibly scatter-brained and gullible.
And a hero is only a temporary solution to the problem. If people are suffering, odds are it can be traced to
incompetentence higher up:

@welcome2atlantis - he survived because he rules Muno barondom. Nobody wants to rule Muno territory, because it's cursed and the curse has killed more traditional nobles who tried to rule it.

That's gotta be fucking terrifying; memories not what they seem or missing, altered and changed from reality.

I hope I never become senile or get Alzheimers

@SunSun Trust me when I say it is probably one of the most terrifying and saddening things when that shit happens and especially for those around the person. My Grandma has Alzheimers and she is mostly lucid during the day and maybe still blanks out at times but it gets extremely bad at night as she can completely forget who people are. One time when I was sleeping over at the her house she saw me and mistaken me for a complete stranger and wanted me out. She luckily has my uncle taking care of her but still can't imagine how bad it gets at times for both.

@Luca44 and on the other side of the spectrum, people are complaining about goody-two-shoes characters who are too selfless and just cant stop saving everyone.

I guess not everyone can be pleased.

Yes, unfortunately.

Considering how high level he is he could win the battle by himself easily, maybe even reducing the enemy numbers beforehand, which is the most annoying part of desumachi. Satou is so OP that he could direct the world to his will and improve everyone's lives, but he doesn't.
