There are things that burn due to friction or being exposed to air, but I can't figure out how it would be applied by the culprit so it burns at specific moment. The sanitizer might play part in it, I guess. Also the wind seems important, first time it was windy and the third time the guy's arm was exposed to wind while driving, but the second time there was just friction against wall. Maybe that's why it burned so little.

When searched, they found Tamaki was carrying a high-powered laser pointer. That makes me lean to her being the culprit. The only issue is how she managed to use it to start a fire on herself without causing suspicion.

EDIT: But then if Tamaki is behind it, there's no way she used it on Nanjou so she had to use something else...

Maybe the glass dome played a part in the trick? Laser can bounce off glass at same angle it fell on it without losing intensity.

Maybe...maybe.

Hm, with that theory, then Tamaki used the laser pointer while she was holding her hands together, carefully reflecting the laser to her sleeve. Tamaki probably soaked the outer sleeve of her fleece hoodie with an accelerant beforehand, and with the wind adding as more fuel, she managed to find a way to ignite it.

Also, Tamaki was slow to get up even after part of her hoodie caught on fire. If she did use a laser pointer during the first incident, then her slowness to get up could be contributed to her trying to make sure the others didn't notice the laser pointer.

hand sanitizer sounds like an interesting item when talking about fire
I wonder if it's possible for a burn mark & smoke to appear if rubbing alcohol was applied on Nanjou's hoodie and the fiction from the push caused it alcohol to ignite.

If that's the case, then you argue that Nanjou coerced Tamaki into pushing her to cause the second incident.

However, if Nanjou is behind it, then I'm drawing a blank how she managed to cause the first and third incident, especially if she used a power bank and a damaged phone in her possession to cause the fires.

Hmm, a material that ignites when in contact with alcohol or when impacted?

Can't really decide on who's the culprit (Tamaki's the fishiest, but too obvious), but I think the motive is the culprit:
1. believing that Takehiko was actually murdered,
2. discovering the method used to burn him to death while making it totally look like an act of God,
3. suspecting that the murderer is one of them, and
4. using that method in the present to gauge who Takehiko's murderer was.

You know, after seeing fire sprouting on someone out of nowhere not once, but twice very recently, I wouldn't wanna be alone, especially if I have to drive.

The trick is the jacket..something about the jacket, exposed to certain elements that light it up...wonder what it is..

I feel like temperature has to be a part of it since they made a point about it. The first and third incidents both happened with cold. I also weirdly feel like the third incident may have been an accident, but no particular reason for it.

I personally suspect Kaori, who designed the jackets. There might be some trick with the fabric, and the sanitizer might somehow neutralize that trick? Her hood is also the odd one out of the two incidents. The arson victim was her brother, Takehiko.

...Okay, crazy idea that's probably wrong: Kaori and Tamaki are working together. Yuuta, who just crashed, was the other person at the cabin and had saved Tamaki. They may have good reason to suspect he fought with Takehiko and killed him, or chose to not save Takehiko, and so they wanted to avenge him.
