Had a crush on a friend for ten years (met him when I was 14), but he never really cared for me even as a friend, so he became part of the US Navy despite being from my same country. I did, our house just 10m away, imo most beautiful girl in neighborhood, went to same school, for some reason I did very hard study and always get rank 1st~3rd on class to get her attention, teach her and doing homework together, I stick to her almost on every single chance but didn't realize its a crush (I was 7, I just felt happy near her), then we went to different middle school and I never actually can confess (my parents heavily warn me not getting girlfriend, and it's impossible to hide girlfriend next door, I did get one on last year of middle school tho 😁)

Years later, she got pregnant & married with guys without fixed jobs, got very thin and looks suffer. (yeah, it's common to force marrying a girl by making her pregnant here, so their parent can't refuse, their worth plummeting and nobody will Marry them otherwise). Her sister also married bad guy who got imprisoned because selling narcotics.

Later, My mom who have 5 boys and her mom with 4 daughters, once gossiping around on neighborhood meetings why none of their children dating each other. I was like "wtf mom! "

While reading this I realized that my best friend from kindergarten was a girl named Emma, but she was a total tomboy and I can’t remember her seeing her as a girl at all. We’d climb trees, go explore stuff, build things, all that. She lived pretty far away so when we started school she went to another and we lost contact.

She’s the sole reason for my life long affiliation for tomboys, so with a little imagination I’m preeeetty sure she’d be that “he doesn’t even recognize me as a girl, much less a lover” girl, if we had just stayed in touch. Too bad we never vowed to get married so she could’ve showed up unexpectedly, you know the drill.

I essentially have a heterosexual life partner.

I never kept friends through my Elementary or Middle School grades due to moving 1-2 times a year to various cities and states. My High School was the only school I attended from beginning to end. When I was 13 I met my current best friend / life partner and have now been part of each others life for about 17 years together. We have lived together for about 5 years and been working together for 6+ years now. I'm only living in a separate place now due to the fact that I have hard time getting along with one his friends who is he trying to help with getting them stable and independent but we've both made each other know that we'd always catch each other if we needed help.

There's a lot of history between us but there's no real romantic connection. Nevertheless, I love him for who he is.

@Deonepiece Lemme guess, it's in Indonesia or country where Islam have huge influence? Also, no offense but the part about no one will marry a pregnant girl because of rape sounds like Islam... No racist intended.

Pro tip for singles:
No one want to marry you? Rape a girl > take responsibility by marrying her > profit.
This practice is free of jail risk. Only works on parents with old fashioned way of thinking though.

I had this girl back in the day. Ya know, the whole "I will marry you" promise and all. When I had 8, almost 9, my family moved. I still remember her tears when the truck left

She still a beauty but, ofc, married.

Also, two random facts:
-She had those adorable freckles and makes me think why people think freckles are ugly
-Once, there was this blonde boy who moved to our neighbourhood and she was all "omg, he's blonde, so beautiful". Because of that, I still have some trust issues around blond people.

Wedding invite came in. They took a lot longer planning the wedding than I thought (honestly thought they married already). Still several months away though.
I'll try to be out of the country, if possible, to reduce risk of me taking rash actions. Knowing my family, I will be picked up and dragged to the wedding to 'support her' if I am in the country since they consider her to be like my sister

she passed away when im still high school. She got brain tumor and it seems a little too late for any treatment. I did love her when im still child tho, but when i was high school that love seems kinda dried out and well there's still kinda prickly feeling but it's not that big of feeling that could make you cry. still visit her grave till now for some formality
