As a person with English barely as a second language (I'm sure you can tell from my grammar etc.) I don't know why I find that the previous "snipe" translation is easier to understand? I know many people said in the comments that the grammar sucks or something, and I also remember finding some of the translation to be confusing, but overall it's easier to understand...

The problem is I don't know why exactly though... Maybe because I still don't understand English fully? I don't know.

Again, please don't take this the wrong way. I am so glad that you still continue translating this stupid manga that for some reason I like so much.

I'll take a guess. The grammar used by the other guy was more similar to the grammar in your first language, than proper English is.

As you understand the language more, you'll start to notice the inaccuracies of a translation like the previous one ("rice" translated into "Japan" and "a clothing" are a couple that I remember off the top of my head).

Although it is true sometimes this translation reads a little stiff because of the more formal structure of the sentences and the harder words, it is definitely more accurate, from what I can tell.

that 'japan' part written as ”じゃパン” from the sentence "じゃパンとポテトチップス".
it written using "jya" in hiragana dan "pan" in katakana, which i think means to emphasize the "pan" part.
looking at previous chapter MC made potato chips (ポテトチップス) and bread (パン or "pan" in Japanese).
so, i read it as a bread, sold under the brand of ”じゃパン”, hence "japan".
