My guess is he only said that to save the girls from getting into/causing trouble, rather than actual respect for the symbol. Could also be a difference in acceptable behaviour/use because he's in the line of succession

Both the brother and the emperor have the tatoo as well. So having the tatoo is probably a way to show you're part of the imperial family, which is why nobody else is allowed to use it for anything.

Honestly not much has changed, other than I think he only bought one of them.. maybe two. So other than maybe the first panel, it stays the same.

The prequel was already scrubbed out of existence. Normally I want full access to the whole story regardless of recons, but I’ll make an exception in this case.
