I think that him looking stupid for always trying to take the fall is the entire point. That's why the three girls -who all genuinely like him as a friend at the very least- tore him a new one this entire chapter.I hate how I’m starting to get numb to the hatchiman trope, or maybe it’s more like these authors don’t even know when to use it making it look stupid instead of cool (I know it’s stupid regardless but now they’re not even trying)
This dollar store Hachiman is hilarius, bro has that rare tism.
As already said, this isn't a loner, this is scared kitten. But it's funny in some ways.
Imagine if he said he was there first and them are forcing him to study to bully him and started to fake cry.
Yeah homie got denied taking the Hachiman route real quick.Well fuck you Hoshigasaki, the guy was living out his Hachiman dream, being hated by the society and feeling all smug about it, and now you repay him by ruining it all?
IIRC in this case it's justified in that because it's her second time around, she knew everything her friend liked causing her to latch on a little too hard when they metI’m very pissed that Hanami’s “best friend” is extremely hostile to the MC and others. It gets repetitive seeing this overused trope many times.
Teenagers are cowards who are beholden to social rules and stigmas. They aren't mature or confident enough to "go against the flow" at that age more often than not, so hiding the truth about the MC to save their own skin is pretty normal. I saw friends who would hang out regularly betray and pretend they weren't in front of "cooler" kids to fit in - exactly as we've seen in this series.I’m very pissed that Hanami’s “best friend” is extremely hostile to the MC and others. You’re just growing up man. You’re starting to realize that this type of outcast mentality is just silly and immature.I hate how I’m starting to get numb to the hatchiman trope, or maybe it’s more like these authors don’t even know when to use it making it look stupid instead of cool (I know it’s stupid regardless but now they’re not even trying)
While I agree with you, this story at least did it properly and showed there were consequences to her otaku tendencies being exposed. Finally someone in a manga grows a pair and stops worrying about their social image for one second to help their “friend” out. Not even really helping him, just picking him up out of the hole you saw him dig for your sake
