The thing is, this manga would be so much more enjoyable if the characters actually acted like people. I mean, seriously. "Oh I bet it's so much more fun hanging out with them than it is with us. Grr, this ruined my mood. Let's leave our "friend" behind guys!" is such a fucking insane thing to drop just out of nowhere but NO ONE seems to register that as unreasonable as shit. And iirc (it's been a while) the previous chapters established this friend as at least caring of Hoshigasaki. So... why is she acting like a shitty caricature of the clingy bitchy girlfriend archetype???

There's only so much suspension of disbelief can do, man. And that doesn't just apply to, say, a fucking dragon appearing out of the sky. It also applies to how people act. I've been to high school, I've seen people. The more intimately real setting means that your writing must also stick closer to the norms that we know of. So... why do this? It just seems like a cheap and shitty way to force conflict when instead you could, say, centre the conflict around an ACTUAL conflict between the girls. Maybe friend A (forgot her name) has some past history with Nanamura or Hanamitsuji or something. Maybe they stole her bread or something. Idk. Just not... this.

Bitch she's your friend. Ask why she's down, why are you dumping this all on the mc. I might be running out of patience with this manga.

I get people’s complaints about the exaggerated insecurities, if anything, the story is a little too meticulous in drawing out every little insecurity as a major plot/arc, that it is rather boring. The MC did die and travel back in time, that seems like a bigger deal haha.

as a boy in class with girls dominating the numbers back during highschool, i can say how close to home this is feel. like seriously girls, does friendships really need to be over complicated to you all? like, the need of dedication on your circle group and the jealousy around friend itself, also the fact that you all willing to take down each other with the amounts of backstabbing? (yeah not all, but most of them especially the most stand out girl group almost always like that).

and worse of all, it usually the boys who got the stray bullets each time it escalated somehow.

I have a rule where I only answer after 3 calls
I love how easy can come up with bullshit excuses lol, honestly a really common behviour of introverts that is rarely portrayed on manga

I definitely don't think this drama is over exaggerated at all. Girls do be like that, especially high school girls.

Remember that in the previous timeline when Hoshigasaki got isolated, it was pretty early on, so they weren't really good friends then. I still think it's dumb for her to be judged and isolated for liking light novels, but again, high schoolers.

Now, they are much closer friends, so yes, Hiiragi is being a bitch. But as was pointed out, Hoshigasaki hasn't properly explained herself either. Really, she needs to tell Hiiragi the truth about Nanamura, which I don't think she's done, yet. That would clear pretty much everything up and also probably stop Hiiragi being jealous.

But again, high schoolers and drama.

In the original time line, those « friends » bullied her after they found out about her reading LN. They’re not good people to begin with, just let them go ffs :haa: Mc and fmc know about it too, why do they want to help them to reconcile ? Just let her be friend with the class rep or sumn…
Thanks for the translation

Man, I just hate social cliques like this, the pressure it is on you to adhere to what everyone wants is extremely real. Peer pressure is an actual thing, you know.
