From what I know everything for the last 10 chapters atleast is completely manga original.

The ln was axed at volume 2 and the web novel eventually explored the underground city, but most of the details were different.

I think they are trying to put every single part of the underground city the author planned for into the manga and finish it off like that.

Wow. I just googled it. I’ve never seen an LN get axed while the manga keeps going. Well, I guess Captain Corinth and The Faraway Paladin did it too.
