AFAIK, Japanese doesn't specify objects in sentences often, so I'm guessing it's actually "I really really love[you/that about you]"ah so it was "love that about you", not "i love you" like the other translation, i had a hunch but still GAHHHHH theyre driving me crazy
More specifically, the full line is:AFAIK, Japanese doesn't specify objects in sentences often, so I'm guessing it's actually "I really really love[you/that about you]"
Translation hard. Scanlators are the real heroesMore specifically, the full line is:
あたしは柚子のそういうとこ憧れてたしー
好き…
I'm not the TL for this series, but based on my amateur understanding of Japanese, the most literal translation would be along the lines of:
"About that part of you, I always admired it and-"
"love (it/you)"
I think the most natural way of reading it in Japanese would be to carry the object to the "love" section, so simply translating it as "I love you" is highly misleading. It probably can be understood that way, but obviously the relative ease with which Minami said it definitely implies that a romantic reading is not the most common meaning to take from what she said.
It was a different group.Wait this is a reupload? Because I 100% read this chapter a couple days ago🤔
Thought so😁It was a different group.
Worth the reread for the better translation.
