The gammas don't have infinite energy. Gamma #1 explicitly says he is at 82% energy remaining in this arc mid-fight with Gohan. We don't know why Hedo didn't include it -- he might not have that information. The only specific thing mentioned on the disc he got from Gero's research was information on Cell.so why did 2 even die? don't androids have unlimited energy? that was like the biggest reason 17 and 18 were such big threats. how am i supposed to believe hedo surpassed gedo when his androids are all so inferior to the point where they have energy limitations. no wonder 18 said he's given a bad name to androids.
They never say the Gammas have infinite energy and explicitly mention power draining in the arc. They have infinite energy, but they have a maximum output. So just for instance say 17 had a maximum energy of 1000, he’d be able to fight at that 1000 level forever, but he can’t go over it. Gamma 2 forcefully exceeded his maximum output which destroyed his body.
Only works if they still have his data. In real life, anyone with a brain would backup their android super warrior, but as it isn't mentioned in the manga... they might just not have done so. I expect them to just leave him dead like many other characters that theoretically could've been brought back over the years to prevent the cast from expanding too much.he could still be rebuilt with the dragon balls and all his data can be reuploaded into his body.
