idk how do you even think of an expanding magic while not considering where you'd get things to replace the expanded area. Like sure I know its fantasy but it still gotta have its laws. Say you 'expand' a 50g apple into a 5kg sized apple, where tf do you get the other 4950g of apple from? the calories, the sugar the everything that matters in a food, what would expanding their size without the substance achieve? ever heard of equivalent exchange from FMA?

Those are clip-ons so she can pass for a fairy and marry the twink. Otherwie how else would you explain her being so uncharacteristically tall and stacked for a fairy?

They're not necessarily supposed to be fairies. Looking at the raw, the term used is 妖精 (yousei) which is both fairy and elf. While it is more common to use エルフ (erufu) when referring to elves, the kanji may be used as well.

A comparison to this page in the raws shows her using エルフ to refer to herself, I do not currently have access to this page nor others like it to see if it is used there. The way it's set up the first three chapters and the two before the most recent three are free to look at, the ones between those free but only one per day unless you pay up, and the three most recent are paid only.

You already are on the backfoot when trying to redeem a character by showing context of their past AFTER they behave like totally unhinged psychos. It's a nice challenge as a writer to present a character the audience is meant to dislike at first and work towards changing their perspective through recontextualization and contrast, but it's very easy to completely fail it and I moreso think it's a fail here (same with Lily to be honest).

Not only is it lame to essentially try to pass one character as another, but when said context is also the most generic sob story ever, it's really hard to care. Of course you can't tell people to care or not about something so if this worked for you, by all means. I wonder how people would react to Marco's backstory of being forced to be abusive to his subordinates because his mom was sweet and something terrible happened to her.

That would be pretty nonsensical honestly. Good thing that's not what has gone on with any of the characters so far.

Marill's mom would get along well with Freiren choosing magic that would create flowers over magic that would be for "practical benefits"

My immediate thought was that a flowering magic would be crazy useful for agriculture. Generations of breeding plants could be done in months, or just repeated fruit harvest. Would likely kill most soils though.
