Yeah this makes sense. Considering her fixation on magic it really couldn't have been Amon that beat the daylights out of her if there was any hope in her being brought down to Earth and joining the trio. Lienna has been shown to be very forgiving. I think they'll have a very different conversation once the immortal shut-in brat has had their horizon forcibly widened.

Your first mistake was discounting the power of friendship.

Your second was surrounding Lienna, not yourself, with a bunch of golems to leave yourself open.

Your third mistake was you actually made her bad enough to say something badass.

Starting to see how Lienna was taken advantage of so easily. She became more motivated hearing that Amon was relying on her. Knowing this her higher ups probably took advantage of her nature and tricked her into overworking by claiming everyone is relying on her.
