I don't think we know enough about the alien lifecycle to make a call. For all we know, they're both five years old.

This manga really makes you think... About how if this situation ever happens in real world how it would never get to these levels.

Even if some aliens saved us first the governments would be very cautious becasue they want to avoid loosing power to some foreigners (US government accepting that something is above them in terms of power? Yeah right...) and secondly the populations themselves would have pretty strong feelings about non-humans suddenly starting to live among them and getting special status.

Simply put, we would see riots and massive hunts long before it came to the point where they are so privileged that a kid can get a license or drive a car.

My interpretation is that humans are generally fearful of aliens because of the unspoken implications - if a species can save the earth from a meteor then it can threaten it as well, If a species has FTL then they can utterly destroy a planet without even entering the solar system. It seems like earths governments are in on this too given the privileges aliens receive, i'd be willing to bet that they'd 'disappear' any human that caused a diplomatic incident and that's why in the last chapter people looked terrified when they thought they'd offended lilly

Pretty interesting portraying Kitami's sister in that way, though I'm curious how Lily has all these details. My opinion on the manga might slightly shift depending on how this little flashback and this beach encounter ends.

Also, I find it ironic that people are praising a character who uses false sexual assault allegations to get her way, literally any other manga people would call her out as a shitty person.
