Perhaps, if that is indeed the case, then I apologize (there’s just been too much MTL lately where the character’s gender is clearly mixed up, and I think it’s triggering me). However, it still seems strange to me, given the later panels. To me it appears that Miriane wants to strip Proll of her magic so that she cannot heal Akira again in the future (once again), and that this is the source of his anger in the final panel. A few pages earlier, there was already information about what Miriane intended to do to him, and it did not provoke such anger, so I believe this is a reaction to the threat against Proll.

DBZ Problem it seems, Goku was just too powerful so they had to hype the villain of the week up somehow. Unfortunately this is one of the reasons the trope idiot ball exists, as well as the worf effect. the over use of these plot tools has led to the shattering of suspension of disbelief and can lead to a plot line or even series devolving to kindergarten levels of bs powerscaling.
