Carl is the best Dad in whole of isekai in my opinion. Like, he cares for his family, bond to his son and wife and he stood by his son's side. This kind of father is what every MC deserves.

I have seen people suggest that in a few isekai manga, and I find it difficult to agree on it. Revealing you are a reincarnator to your new biological family might be the worst choice ever. It means you are telling them you aren't their real child, at least fully. You are a total stranger that took the place of their baby. Maybe it's a burden to feel like you are keeping an astronomical secret from your new parents, maybe even to the point you feel like you are cheating them, but if you are the only one suffering with the knowledge, isn't it fine? There's no need to share the suffering. Let the parents be happy. This is all assuming they are decent parents. If they are scumbags, then it doesn't really matter.

As much as I am enjoying this series... gosh dang, I'm having a hard time making it through. I'm not a fan of lies and deception, so a series where everyone is lying to everyone and promises are broken left and right, this is a struggle. At least some things are easing up, but dang it.

I'm kinda disappointed that he didn't talk about the drawing ability to his dad, especially after the scroll-burning thing that's potentially serious to his ability being useful at the academy / has a high chance of leading to the irregularity of his summoning being discovered anyway.

Especially when the reason for hiding his ability was to have a normal life, if that's already no longer on the table, it seems like he should confide with his family about it, at least.

You arent wrong but... meh?
After everything that has been revealed, the fact his "summoning" abilities are connected to his artistic skills and imagination almost seems an insignificant detail.
ALSO, fully explaining why thats the case, would need to reveal he was a mangaka in his past life and... that sounds akward.
For the parents to hear their 15 years old son its -memory-wise- a 30 years old man. Thats too weird I guess. On MC place I would prefer to have my parents treat me normally and not ruin it with such a weird truth.
