God, I'm gonna miss this manga. Honestly, tearing up thinking about it ending. And the idea he'll never get Falin back is so tragic. He did all this for her, and he'll never get her back. Screaming, crying, throwing up.
No! I caught up just before the ending!
What an incredible story this has been, with so many twists and great moments. I'm sad that it's almost finished, but it looks like it'll have a great ending.
My theory on what the curse of the Demon means:
I think it has nothing to do with his sister. I think what it has to do with is the way he tore off the pieces of his monster form. Fleeing from them. Leaving them in tatters. He always wanted to not be a monster. But now, having BEEN a monster is the moment he consumed another whole, when he was stabbed, when the world nearly ended.
I think the curse is that his dream was turned into something horrifying to him; that he will always Be Human.
Calling it now, I think the escape run to the surface is gonna be the big sequence in the anime where they play the first OP of the series over it and really twist that emotional knife, and god I'm looking forward to it.
