And the subs are just cc of eng dub and miss a ton of nuance and sometimes skip entire sentences or summarize them in 1-2 words.

There are actually numerous projects to make us regrow teeth, or implant teeth lab-grown from our own tissues. It's one of the more popular bioengineering areas of research, because dental is immediately lucrative.

GOD... I so want more of this story.

I know much of the charm of the story was their adventure in the dungeon and its complex and pretty realistic ecosystem... but there is SO MUCH that could be done with this world.

HELL... I think that with Kui-sensei's masterful writing, she could even use the overused shounen troupes and make an engaging story (in a few ways she did use some of them even here).

But I will take any, and I mean ANY, little snippet of the life of the gang after their great adventure.

I feel the same about Beastars. Two amazing Shounen, with an engaging, rich world, written by a female mangaka.
We really need more women authors in Shounen!

I can never get tired of reading more Dungeon Meshi. I'd read an entire new series about Laios' reign.

But it's great that Ryoko Kui puts so much thought into worldbuilding. For example the stuff about long-lived races growing multiple sets of teeth. It makes perfect sense and I've wondered for a while how living hundreds of years would work if you had only one set of adult teeth like humans; it's hard enough to keep all your teeth by the age of 70!

And? The manga definitely gives off more Shounen vibes than Seinen. Doesn‘t matter anyway because my point still stands: we need more female mangaka in male-oriented manga (Shounen/Seinen).

Someone from Japan already figured it out by disabling a gene that prevents new tooth from forming. They are already developing a medicine last I heard.
