So, about that prophecy...

The problem isn't VAN AND CO. specifically, the problem is 'there is a prophecy that the Demon King (who might not be a chill dude at all) will resurrect using a worthy/viable vessel on this Earth'. They have identified Ryuka as a very likely candidate, being the Black Dragon and absurdly powerful herself. Though they clearly do NOT like it and verbally admit that the Wyrm Hell group are pretty chill and would likely LOVE to just support them/be friends, they also have their kingdom to think of and don't want to take the risk of a malevolent entity overtaking such a powerful individual and causing the world trouble.

It's basically a 'no good solutions' scenario, unless Puu-yan and crew can puzzle out a loophole.

I've got a loophole for them. The Demon King will resurrect by being reborn, with Ryuka acting as his "vessel" by being his mother. Because he'll be half-human and raised by people on both sides, he can work as a bridge between the two sides to bring peace instead of destruction.

Prophecy: fulfilled.
End of the World: avoided.

If she died he will be thus fulfilling the prophesy when the demon king vessel is "sacrificed" the demon king will be born. It did not say who do the sacrificing and for what. Sacrifice is a sacrifice regardless if it is to resurrect the big bad or to prevent it(sacrificed for the good of the nation)
