I've got a feeling that Van is the gonna be the Demon lord when he gets mad cause the Hero's hurt Ryuka, then that mana beast thing will use him as a vessel to create the next demon lord. Then Ryuka will have to rally the cast to help her reach demon lord Van so she can 'use the power of love' to bring him back to his senses, then the series will end and maybe we'll be lucky to get some epilogue chapters.
