I fully realize this is a manga for a certain type of people, but if were talking common sense and assuming gender reversal. Then yes.
If a soon to be middle aged virgin men who was deeply betrayed by his fiance were to actually have sex, then he would absolutely regain his confidence due to that. Even more, I'd say no amount of therapy would have a more positive effect on his life and his trauma, than the simple act of being embraced by a lover.
Humans are inherently sexual creatures, whether you like it or not.
So I don't see any kindness here, only cowardice. What a shallow and immature understanding of human nature the author has.
I am instantly reminded why I originally dropped this manga many chapters ago.

NGL, that delusion with her was fantastic... But I really thought it was really a canon... 
I like this series, but at the same time, I hate it.
I don't even know what's MC's goal anymore, and now he wants to give back his only resource of offensive power? As a what? A moral person? lol
The author is likely loosing their mind scratching a way to make ends meet after leaving the inn from the name... Now, he goes to an adventure...
MC is a sex fiend with principle? Huh?!
I really liked Sierra the vampire loli, but after she left, this series became just a dumb sexist that also failed to become a hentai. (Because the seggs always gets skipped or given output in a single or double pages, and that's it... (┛ಸ_ಸ)┛彡┻━┻)
