@suzubelle Partially. It seems she did not "break" from spell and is fully normal. Rather she slowly "waking up" from it. Realize that something was wrong. That she acted not as her.

Brainwashing/charm plus gaslighting. Whenever the hero party is brought up, I get a little upset for the dicks they are.

@Bortasz Yeah, the author is dragging out the "reveal", I am not sure why.

I dont like how little confidence she has considering how long she worked as the village apothecary. I get the hero and his party constantly talked her down, but it is as if she suddenly thinks she can't heal people despite clearly having had the ability since the start.
And said talking down is what makes the hero dislikable, otherwise I would be sympathetic to him. Imagine how devastated he will be when he finds out his party only associates with him cause of a charm ability he didnt know he had (and its obvious he doesnt know, or healer wouldnt have been let go alive to figure things out and leak the information).

@Feha if I remember right she spent over 2 years with that party of heroes - that's more than enough time to make someone believe they're not as good as they really are. Plus she's been only around heroes/adventurers for that time as well, she probably hasn't had a chance to treat villagers and is comparing treating heroes to villagers (and thinking she's useless).

its definitely no mystery why she wanted to stay with the hero party for 2 years since the author hints at it multiple times during their interactions... and yeah 2 years of being told you're useless with all your glory being taken by others to increase their rank rather then your own kind of does that to people.

In chapter 1 page 7 , the healer thought she couldn’t look away from hero’s eyes and want to help him. I guess that hero hypnotized the healer to fall in love with him and obey him. She started to gain concious when she was not around him.
