Nah, he's eternally in the red despite help from his mom's job. That, and he's clearly been beaten down his whole life as a result of trying and failing and getting zero meaningful support up until Satou came and helped flip the script for him.
Just because you don't like the story (which, you've been bitching about one thing or another the last several chapters I've checked comments, weird you're so invested in something you seem to not being enjoying), doesn't mean the writing isn't internally consistent.
The fact you apparently would rather fabricate easily-disproven portions of the plot and only shift the goalposts once called on it is pretty indicative.
