@Legion_01 He was revived with a spell card. That is common in card games. And then his ability would be activated after revival which is attack increase by amount of orcs in the graveyard. Pretty much staple as well for an ability to activate again after resummoning from the graveyard. Since the summoner has not died he would still have cards in the grave.

I don't really agree that the saint was initially portrayed was nice and forgiving. I felt like it was more that she's nice to the beastmen because she doesn't have any of the bias against beastmen presumably since she's not from that world and possible because she has a thing for beastmen. And naive for wanting to attack the orcs without a plan.

Honestly, while the saintess' personality shift is way too sudden, that's hardly exclusive to her. Everyone's characterization is all over the place. The MC is the worst offender imo.
I suspect it's a symptom of having so few chapters to get the story across. After all, we only have three chapters left to wrap this story up, even if it feels like it only just started.

@StolenGene Wait whut?! its over after chapter 10? that means it was either axed or they squezed too much soruce into a single chapter anyway. The MC is at least partly understandable for demanding things from someone who attacked him/her and cant be fully cleared from beeing an enemy.

@heroeric how you described it. The saint didnt had any bias and she should be aware it was her own fault, therefore blaming the MC without real reason is strange if she was so white knight and hero like to the general people, even beeing angry at the nobles for not helping. That is a great personality shift in how to react to others.

I said she didn't have any bias against beastmen not that she didn't have any bias at all.
I also didn't find her to be a particularly great person. It really doesn't take someone amazing to be upset that people who are suppose to taking care of a territory don't care if civilians die.

Ai-chan assumes this card game is based on Magic: The Gathering, but the rules are somewhat unclear to Ai-chan. Our protagonist keeps summoning new creatures everyday, but the Saint only has 1 summon all these time, with the exception of the 3 harpies she summoned right before battle? And on top of that the Saint didn't summon anything with her white income within the 2 days she was stuck at the church?

To all the people mentioning the very different attitude of the White Saint.

In Magic every color is associated with certain emotions/characterizations/styles, BOTH POSITIVES AND NEGATIVES. You are forgetting the NEGATIVE side of the White color.

Positive White is Justice, Compassion, Healing, Righteousness, Heroism and so on.
Negative White is Dogmatism, Totalitarism, Arrogant selfrighteousness...

The White Saint is now showing the negative side of the White Color: she is in the right, hasn't done anything wrong and anyone that says otherwise is evil (even if it's blatantly not true).
