[EN] A brief tutorial on changing the PWA icon on iOS

The mangadex icon is great and all, but what if you want to change it to something fancy or higher res? Well, unfortunately there isn't a way to do that after you've added the app to your home screen (although you may be able to use this to add a new shortcut) since iOS is iOS, but we can get around that in a similar way to how people set up custom icons: with shortcuts!

Setting up a shortcut to open a PWA unfortunately isn't as simple as launching an app. Most of the process is taken from here, but it goes as follows:

1. Open up the shortcuts app and add a new "Open URLs" action
2. Go to your home screen and tap and hold on the MangaDex PWA you have there and click "share"
3. Back in the url field, paste the url but replace the https:// with webapp://. Make sure to keep the trailing / if your original url had that in it. For example, mine ended up being webapp://mangadex.org/
4. Your shortcut is done! Tap the share button to add it to your home screen and either use the built in icon creator or an image.
5. I moved my current PWA icon onto a new page and hid it (tap the dots on the bottom of your screen and deselect that page with the icon in it)

Congratulations, you are now the proud owner of a custom iconed PWA on your home screen! The main difference is there's a slightly different animation when tapping on the icon (and sometimes a notification lookin thing appears on the top of the screen for a bit) but other than that it should save all the log-ins you had cached in the original PWA.
