So she's the foremost source of knowledge? And then he proceeds to explain a lot of things she doesn't know."If you don't know, there is unlikely to be a mage who knows the answer."
Damn I didn't realize turtle bro appeared so late into the story.
The later parts of the novels sort of gaslighted me into thinking he was always there as recurring character, with how much importance they give him. Now seeing it in manga form, the later events now make him seem like a deus ex machina plot device.
no, what he means is Erise is most proficient in magic in that world, so if something Erise doesn't know, there's probably no one know, but the prophet doesn't use the power of magic, they use the power of the world itselfSo she's the foremost source of knowledge? Do remember that just prior to Elrise un-apocalypticting the world, it was in every sense of the word fucked. Basically the only places even remotely safe was human cities and travel between cities was an extremely dangerous thing so people wouldn't be randomly exploring places and trade routes would be strictly followed. Hence, a small rail system only accessing 2 points in unknown territory wouldn't be too hard to hide. But I mean, these are rail tracks, the way topology works, if like two villages are divided by the tracks, they'd have to either go all the way around the capital so to not discover the tracks, or they would just cross straight through rail, and then it is not unreasonable to decide to follow along them
