Hmmm...

Didn't know that the second saint was strong enough to toss such a turtle...
It really doesn't make any sense, because Alfrea is supposed to use the living turtle like a shield in battle, way too big for that. I guess the mangaka didn't read ahead.

Thanks for the translation!

Alfrea is a first saint tho, her mother is a first witch

in later when they reunited Alrea said that propheter become so big now, which means the time when they were together propheter wasn't this big, and propheter mentioned that it was tossed like trash, so maybe back then propheter wasn't as big as now?

As before, I'd advise not reading the various spoilers, they really give away too much.

Manga change: In the LN, the train people are monkeys. Minor change, but this makes it a little less absurd.

Damn I didn't realize turtle bro appeared so late into the story.

The later parts of the novels sort of gaslighted me into thinking he was always there as recurring character, with how much importance they give him. Now seeing it in manga form, the later events now make him seem like a deus ex machina plot device.
I don't know about "deus ex machina," the idea that something like the prophet has been implied since the beginning, but, like the main character, we didn't think much of their role in the story. It'd be more of a deus ex machina if a character we've known this whole time all of a sudden proved to have this kind of ability, rather than the MC just simply not thinking of looking for information because, until this point, they could just beat most anybody with sheer raw power 🤔

Oh, that's not what I am hinting at...

What I am referring to is something uber spoily from the ending of the novel.

Which I will not go into detail here.

I just meant that if they didn't feel like one before when you thought the introduction was sooner, it should be fine in this version of events where they come in later than you thought you remembered, but I'll guess I'll have to see for myself when the time comes 🤔

the guardians language really doesn't work well when the large font makes most words break in the middle.

"A steam train, Only the royal family may use it, ordinary people don't even know of its existence"

Random villager kid: "Daddy, what's that moving smoke column that makes all that noise?"
Random villager: "Uhh... it must be the wind idk"

If you are refering to what i belive you are, i recall is foreshadowed somewhat before the event they just hide it in exposition about how the world works.
