a single line that is practically impossible to interpret as anything but sexism.
For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression. 1st Timothy 2 13-14
There's nothing to interpret when the explanation is clearly given. The command is given by reason of chain of events. Man was made then Woman. Woman sinned first then man sinned second. It has nothing to do with sex. Submission to the divine order a massive part of the New Testament. For men
and women.
Ephesians 5:17 - 21
"Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God"
1 Corinthians 16:15 -16
I urge you, brethren—you know the household of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the ministry of the saints— that you also submit to such, and to everyone who works and labors with us.
1 Peter 2:13 -14
"Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether to the king as supreme, or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good"
1 Peter 5:5
"Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”
The submission to ordinance, even an unfair one as the bible has covered, shows that you care more about what God wants than what you want. God then, on your behalf, deals with anyone who uses and abuses said submission and rewards you for putting up with it for however long you did. That's the deal throughout scripture.
